About FeedbackAnon 📝

FeedbackAnon exists because we noticed a frustrating gap in the market. We watched teams struggle with survey tools that required lengthy setups, personal accounts, email verifications, and unnecessary overhead for something that should be simple: collecting honest feedback.

A manager needs quick feedback from their team on a new initiative. A teacher wants to know if students understood the lesson. A startup needs to understand customer pain points. A nonprofit wants to learn from volunteers. In each of these cases, the friction of traditional survey tools—accounts, passwords, admin panels—felt disproportionate to the actual task.

Beyond the friction, there was another issue: traditional feedback channels often don't get honest responses. People hold back because they're worried about being identified, concerned about how feedback might be used, or influenced by power dynamics in their environment. When someone knows their boss, teacher, or manager can trace feedback back to them, they self-censor. They give polite answers instead of honest ones.

That's when we decided to build something different. Not another feature-heavy survey platform. Not another tool with an account system and analytics dashboards. Instead, we built the simplest possible tool for anonymous feedback collection—with integrity at its core.

When you create a form on FeedbackAnon, the system generates two long, cryptographically random access links—one for managing the form and viewing responses, one for sharing with respondents.

Here's what happens behind the scenes:

• Form Creation: You provide your questions, title, and optional description. The system stores this without any connection to your identity.
• Link Generation: Two independent, unguessable links are created. These become your only way to access the form ever. Keep them safe—if lost, they're gone.
• Response Collection: You share the public link. People submit responses without logging in or providing personal information.
• Data Storage: Responses are stored securely, linked only to the form ID. We don't track respondent IP addresses, device info, or behavior.
• Secure Access: Only someone with the management link can view your responses. Optionally, you can add password protection for another security layer.

No accounts, no profiles, no analytics dashboards. Just forms, responses, and links.

FeedbackAnon isn't right for everything, and we want to be transparent about that. If you need any of the following, you might want to explore other tools:

• Lost Links Are Gone: We don't have an account system, so if you lose your management link, there's no "forgot password" flow. The data becomes inaccessible. Permanently. We recommend saving your links in a password manager or secure location.
• No Link Recovery: Because anonymity is core to our design, we can't verify ownership if you claim a link is yours. If lost, we can't restore access. This is a feature, not a bug—it means form creators can't be pressured to share links either.
• No Advanced Analytics: We don't provide fancy analytics, charts, or behavioral insights. You get the raw responses. If you need data visualization or complex analysis, you'll need another tool.
• Limited Customization: You can't deeply customize form branding, embed surveys on your site, or integrate with other tools. The platform is intentionally minimal.
• No Export (Yet): Direct download/export features are on the roadmap but not currently available. You can view and copy responses, but bulk export requires manual work for now.
• No Long-Term Guarantees: Like any online service, we can't promise eternal uptime or that FeedbackAnon will exist forever. Always keep backups of important responses.

These aren't gotchas—they're intentional choices. We choose simplicity and privacy over feature bloat. But we want you to know exactly what you're getting into.
